.: In Touch Entertainment is organizing a benefit concert to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan called JAZZ FOR JAPAN on Monday, April 18 at Highline Ballroom. Some of the special guests include Madeleine Peyroux, Joe Lovano, Sonny Fortune, Karrin Allyson and Allan Harris among numerous others. .: In Touch is booking talent into four of New York City's finest restaurants - South Gate at the Essex House, Rue 57, Covet and the Palio Bar at Piano Due Restaurant. .: Charles Carlini just completed production on a new album for Chesky Records on the music of Herbie Hancock. .: Moogfest, the annual festival celebrating the groundbreaking achievements of maverick inventor Rober Moog and his namesake synthesizer, will release a DVD from last year's event featuring performances by DJ Logic, Bernie Worrell, Roger O'Donnell (The Cure), Jan Hammer and Keith Emerson. .: Charles Carlini produced six tracks on Academy Award winning film composer Ennio Morricone's latest CD for SONY Masterworks - We All Love Ennio Morricone. Featured artists include Celine Dion, Quincy Jones, Renee Fleming, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Deodato, Roger Waters, Eddie Van Halen, Yo-Yo Ma among others.

.: Charles Carlini recently produced three albums for the audiophile label Chesky Records for a new series called the New York Sessions. The sessions featured such jazz luminaries as Eddie Gomez, John Abercrombie, George Mraz, Louis Hayes, Buster Williams and the late pianist John Hicks. The albums will be released later this Summer. .: Electric guitar innovator Les Paul won two Grammy Awards for an all-star album marking his 90th birthday. Paul, whose name has adorned a brand of guitars used by rock stars since the 1950s, won his trophies in the pop instrumental performance category for the track Caravan, and in the rock instrumental performance category for the track 69 Freedom Special, credited to Les Paul and Friends. The tracks come from the album Les Paul & Friends: American Made World Played, his first release since 1978's Chester & Lester with late Nashille icon Chet Atkins. .: "Inolvidable" was nominated for a GRAMMY for best traditional Latin album. Carlini served as associate producer on the session for Chesky Records with Cuban legends Candido Camero and Graciela Perez. This album, Inolvidable, released in 2004, also features Latin recording veterans Manny Oquendo, Nelson Gonzalez, Andy Gonzalez, Sonny Bravo, Xiomara, and Federico Britos.



2004

.: Charles Carlini recently signed singer-songwriter Marta Gomez to Chesky Records. The native Colombian and Berklee College of Music graduate has shared the same stage with such diverse artists as Livingston Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, John Mayer and Mercedes Sosa. She has just completed her newest CD for Chesky to be released in October 2004.

.: Pianist James Williams and Charles Carlini co-produced a live CD for Half Note Records in celebration of legendary pianist Hank Jones' 85th Birthday at New York City's Blue Note featuring a virtual who's who in jazz. Special guests included Monty Alexander, Geri Allen, Ray Barretto, Candido Camero, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Marian McPartland, Jon Faddis, Bill Charlap, Rufus Reid, Joe Wilder, Peter Washington, Louis Hayes, Roy Haynes, George Mraz, George Coleman, Harold Mabern, Eric Reed, and Russell Malone among others.

.: Charles Carlini co-produced a live recording for Chesky Records entitled "4 Generations of Miles" -- a tribute CD to Miles Davis, featuring four former band members: George Coleman, Ron Carter, Mike Stern and Jimmy Cobb.
